India's Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) has submitted proposals to the Ministry of Commerce & Industry with one-year and three-year action plans for the expansion of the gem and jewelry trade.

The Gems and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) says media reports out of India that some diamantaires are selling polished goods at discounts of 5-20 percent due to financing issues as a result of the closure of the Antwerp Diamond Bank (ADB) are incorrect. The GJEPC said the reports were "false and baseless".

The summer 2015 edition of the biannual International Diamond Week will be held from August 30 to September 3.

It will be Kristall's 10th tender of polished stones and they will be mostly from 2 carats and up.

The Argyle Pink Plume necklace is set with about 1 carat of natural Argyle pink diamonds.

Just 100 of the anniversary pendants are being made. Each is inscribed “1 of 100” laser inscription and comes with a certificate of authenticity and specially created box.

More than 200 foreign buyers are registered already for participation in the International Diamond Week (IDW) that will be held September 1-4 at the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE).

They will come face-to-face with more than 350 Israeli diamond firms which will exhibit their diamond stocks in the IDE's trading hall.

(Global Diamond Portal News) - Officers from India's Income Tax Department have raided the offices of diamond companies at the Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB) at Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in a major operation, according to a report.

The officers entered the offices of around 20 diamond companies located at BDB, according to The Times of India.
